Some of the best PR starts locally, and then disseminates from there, so be sure to notify members of the media in your own geographic area. Just about every community has one or more media outlets. Initially, you might think that your Bootstrapping Story is about your business. However, be creative! Remember, from the point of view of the media, it may suggest a different "story angle." Your story might also be about other things: a human interest story; a story of your entrepreneurial vision and passion to change something; a story that fits within a larger editorial context, such as one about the growth of your community as a whole.
